Douglass Winechester is a Dwarven Berserker and Theurgist for hire, played by Rob in Galen Sunsword: Private Investigator and by Roamin in The Lightbeards. He has worked for both Sallazhar Sintour and the Pony Casino as a bodyguard. He also trained with Bruce Willakers, and knew Virgo and Galen Sunsword.

Notable Attributes[edit]

Douglass has a very high pitched voice, similar to that of a child, and lacks intelligence, but makes up for it with his strength.

Sallazhar Sintour[edit]

Douglass has worked for Sallazhar as a bodyguard for a long time, and follows Sallazhar's commands faithfully, though his low intelligence and gullibleness often annoys the elf.

Lance Willakers[edit]

Douglass was Lance's babysitter, but took a more lax approach to Lance's safety (often throwing him around) claiming that he'd be fine due to his tough skin and/or his meta knowledge of Lance's inability to die within the events of The Lightbeards. However, Douglass did still make Lance's safety a priority, as he immediately attempted to bring Lance to safety when his mother was enraged. Douglass sung lullabies to Lance to get him to sleep, but they seemed unsuccessful and caused Lance to cry, seemingly because Douglass used his knowledge of the Old Gods to tell Lance his future. Such knowledge is represented in this lullaby:

Goodnight little Lance,
Goodnight little Lance,
May your dreams be filled with Chance.

Good news you're going to grow up big and strong!
Until that Skeleton King comes along.

Then he will stab you with his sword,
And make you say 'Oh my Lord'.

'Why have you forsaken me Lord of Light?
I wish I could keep the fight.
But now I will be Ageless.'
And that's the end of this song, now.

The Lightbeards[edit]

Douglass was a babysitter for Bruce and Virendra Willakers, he frequently cared for their son Lance.

After Virendra ascended during the battle against Thor, Douglass carried Lance to safety. Sallazhar Sintour helped them escape through a painting.

Galen Sunsword: Private Investigator[edit]

When Sallazhar disappeared during a confrontation with Galen, Douglass came out of hiding to attack the group of lawyers. However, they were able to talk him out of it by stating that they had a warrant, and could arrest him if he and the other guards didn't comply. As the group was about to leave, Zeddicus Daniels found Sallazhar hiding, who then called out for Douglass to attack them again. However, this battle, too, was cut short when Grungle Numpston cut Douglass off from the party with an Earthquake.

The next day, the group met Douglass again in the Pony Casino, and he explained that he was working there since his other job wasn't going too well. When Grungle was found to be a lawyer, he then said that he had to ask Numpston to leave, and that he'd have to 'legally damage him in a few places' otherwise. Grungle agreed to this, and left with Douglass.

  • Douglass is a character from one of Rob's other series - his Let's Play of Divinity Original Sin II. His personality, appearance, abilities, and friendship with Sallazhar are all directly taken from the series, and, due to their actions in the series, it is likely that both Sallazhar and Douglass have come from their world into URealms itself.
  • His name is recycled from a character from the original Unforgotten Realms series, though to be fair that wasn't said character's real name, simply what the series version of Rob summarily renamed him after declaring his real name "stupid".
